- Copy the files to the GEAR product directory and
- overwrite the existing ones, in order to update
- your GEAR software. In addition the following must
- be done:
-
- Windows 95 users:
-
- Copy the file MINIASPI.VXD to your
- windows\system\iosubsys directory and reboot.
- If you are using the first Windows 95 release
- (July/Aug 95, build 4.00.950) it is advised to update
- certain system files. These files can be found in
- IOSUPD.zip. This zip file contains a readme file on
- how to install these system files.
-
-
- Windows NT 4.0 users:
-
- Re-run the NT 4 reader driver installer (Cdrinst.exe)
- located in the /Drv_WNT directory under your program
- directory. Make sure it uses the new GEARCDR.CFG
- file as new input file (you can use the 'browse' button
- to select the new GEARCDR.CFG file).
-
- --------------------------------------------
-
- KNOWN PROBLEMS:
-
- Reading Video CD data with the Mitsumi drive will
- result in read errors.
-
- Copying a Video CD with Replicator and the Philips
- CDD3610 will result in a non-playable Video disc.
- A Video CD read with readtrack through GEAR 4.2
- and written as a CD track list works fine.
-
- Writing a CD-i disc with the Sony 928 will result
- in a non-playable CD-i.
